Project Description

Forensic Medicine Department comes under the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology of Dubai Police.

The Forensic Medicine Department will have all modern facilities to facilitate forensic medical investigation, clinical examination for victims and prisoners at a world-class level, several forensic facilities all in one place.  

The project is located on Plot no. 2640207 Muhaisnah II, Dubai and would develop as G+1+R building with approximately 8,898 Sqm.

The new facility is architecturally innovative and would be equipped with best-practice equipment used in global world class institutions. It is designed innovatively and equipped with the latest equipment not limited to radiology and laboratory, allows for all services related to deceased bodies to be completed in one location, with approvals being done electronically.

The lab is comprised of two floors (Ground + First Floor) that includes, High Standard Autopsy BSL2 & BSL3. BSL2-Dead Body Freezers as for 400 capacities and BSL3-Dead Body Freezers for 75 capacities. It has Body imaging departments like X-Ray , CT scan, MRI & Ultrasound scanning facilities etc. Also, it includes laboratories like Toxicology, Histology, Entomology.
